The Gomoa Central District Assembly successfully organized a two-day training program for Hon. Assembly Members on “Next Generation Leadership” from 16th – 17th July, 2026.
A total of *22 Assembly Members* drawn from across the district participated in the capacity-building workshop, which was aimed at equipping local leaders with modern leadership skills, governance practices, and innovative approaches to community development.
The training focused on key areas including effective representation, responsive local governance, conflict resolution, resource mobilization, and the role of assembly members in driving sustainable development at the community level. Facilitators emphasized the need for leaders to embrace transparency, inclusivity, and innovation in addressing the evolving needs of their constituents.
Speaking at the opening session, the Hon. DCE, Hon Hackman Kobina Aidoo commended the participants for their commitment to service and urged them to apply the knowledge gained to improve service delivery in their respective electoral areas.
Participants expressed appreciation to the Assembly for the initiative, noting that the training has broadened their understanding of leadership and will enhance their performance in the discharge of their duties.
