The Management of Gomoa Central District Assembly wishes to inform and remind the general public to be much concerned about food and beverages they buy at the shops and the market centers, especially this festive season.
A lot of expired food and beverages are brought from different locations for sale during this Christmas festivity.
To ensure health and safety of the general public, the District Assembly humbly entreats all Honorable Assembly Members to employ the services of the Community Information Centers in their respective electoral areas to pave way for the Environmental Health Officers and NADMO Staff to undertake sensitization and education exercises on food safety issues.
Alongside the awareness creation, a constituted joint taskforce team made-up of Environmental Health Officers and NADMO Staff are on a field visit to check expired, dented, and bloated food packages on shops’ shelves.
