GOMOA CENTRAL DISTRICT JOINS NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

The Gomoa Central District Assembly has joined in the nationwide celebration of the National Day of Prayer instituted by the Mahama administration.

The event took place at the Assembly hall of the District Assembly and brought together staff,  Assembly members as well as other individuals in the District.
This day is set aside annually for all Ghanaians to pray and thank God for the country and also ask for God’s continued favor.

Speaking on the theme ‘Resetting Our Values to Build the Ghana We Want,’ Prophet William Bentum of the Oil House Chapel stated that resetting is a decision that starts in the mind. Hence, all present should make a conscious effort to start the transformation process within themselves before extending it to others.

The DCE Hon. Hackman Kobina Aidoo, in addressing the gathering, also stated that staff, especially, should continue to work hard for the betterment of the district.
Adding that people should ignore the idea that transformation should start from the top.
To him, transformation should start from the various offices in the assembly, which would go a long way to help nation-building.
He again stated that each staff member has a role to play to help in the success of the assembly; hence, staff should not work like they are doing others a favor or being forced to work.

Hon Hackman Kobina Aidoo ended by saying that working hard and being diligent in the discharge of duties can open so many doors money cannot open.
With this, all staff are expected to do the right thing and work to make sure there is growth and improvement in their various departments and units.
