Hon. Hackman Kobinaa Aidoo, DCE for Gomoa Central, together with the District Education Directorate, visited some schools when they reopened.
Dubbed “My First Day at School,” this exercise is to welcome students back to school and also to receive freshers.
Schools visited include Besiade Primary, Akropong SDA School, and Aboso/Benso A School. During the visit, the DCE took turns to visit students who were in their various classrooms.
He interacted with the students on how studies were going and what they look forward to this new academic year. He also encouraged the students to take their studies very seriously so they can become prominent people in society.
Hon. Hackman stressed the need for students to focus more on the study of the English language since understanding it would make learning and answering questions simple.
He added that students should try and master the art of reading a lot to help improve their vocabulary. Students and teachers of these schools were extremely grateful to the DCE and the Education Directorate for the visit.
They hoped that such visits would be frequent and also pleaded that the District Assembly should continue to support them as they always do to ensure the bright future of these children.
