THE SECOND ORDINARY MEETING OF THE FOURTH ASSEMBLY

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa Central, Hon. Hackman Kobina Aidoo, has presented his Sessional Address at the Second Ordinary Meeting of the Fourth Assembly, providing an update on the district’s performance for the second quarter of 2025 and priorities for the months ahead.

The DCE announced a change in the district’s management, with Madam Rubby Stisope Besagah appointed as the new District Coordinating Director.

On financial performance, the Assembly recorded Internally Generated Funds of GH₵884,324 as at September 2025, representing 64.3% of its revenue target.

The Assembly also received over GH₵8.28 million from the District Assemblies Common Fund, which is being utilized in line with approved guidelines.

In agriculture, 4,752 farmers and 204 farmer-based organizations have been registered under the Feed Ghana Programme, with farm inputs expected for distribution. Seedling distribution under alternative livelihood and presidential initiatives was also ongoing.

The DCE highlighted ongoing investments in education, sanitation, and infrastructure, including classroom construction, health facility expansion, and monthly sanitation exercises, which placed the district 7th in the regional mid-year sanitation assessment. He commended security agencies for maintaining peace and called for collective responsibility in safeguarding security across the district.
